About the artist:

Jason Hsu is a multidisciplinary designer based in Portland, Oregon. Over the past decade, he has worked across a variety of creative environments, with a focus on thoughtful storytelling and a passion for craft. Jason says, “As a Taiwanese American, being part of the AAPI community is an important part of my identity. I’m proud to celebrate my heritage and the diverse perspectives that continue to shape my creativity and approach to design.”

“For this design, I drew inspiration from the season, when cherry and plum blossoms come into bloom. This time of year represents renewal and the promise of new beginnings. Cherry blossoms evoke a sense of vitality and vibrancy, while plum blossoms symbolize perseverance and faith in the face of hardship, a courage to lead the way toward spring and hope. I’m honored to be part of this project and to help represent a community that inspires me every day.”
