Origin Story
Introducing the Timbers’ new Portland Plaid kit. Ponderosa, shadow green, and gold come together in a plaid clad jersey to reflect the tight-knit relationship between the club and the community. The Portland Plaid jersey is a symbol of kinship – we’re all cut from the same cloth and no matter where we come from, united in our love for the Timbers.
The club’s first-ever plaid jersey features gold trim detailing at the sleeve cuffs and collar, as well as adidas’ classic three stripes at the shoulder to bring the look back to the pitch. On the inside of the collar, a two-person crosscut saw – a symbol of teamwork – embraces the Timbers name. The jock tag showcases one of the club’s longest standing traditions – slices of the victory log, surrounded by the words “For the Rose City” and “Portland Timbers”.
From the Victory Log blessing to the slicing of a slab, the club is woven in traditions that bring people together for a soccer experience unlike any other. The Portland Plaid kit connects everyone who plays a part in making Portland Soccer City USA.
